66 Ford F100 Crown Vic swap "Project SixtySick"

You don't mess around do you? I'd say that was damn good progress. Let's hope the weather holds out for you...unless you have a garage to work in. Nice job! :)

LOL wow thank you!!! I do have a garage to work in for my motor and body work and smaller stuff but looking into a canopy with walls for the winter to throw over the frame.

Wow.....Good progress on the build.....oh yeah nice wedding photo to boot.
It seems you must have one great partner to allow the time necessary to arrive where you are at. I still can't believe the relative simplicity to install that front sub/crossmember assembly.

thank you very much! Love that 38 buick as much as the wife lol, tis true I did marry her for how she loves me and supports me she understands I dont go to strip clubs or pubs ,I just wanna play out in the driveway and she loves that ;) she even helped paint the frame. For the cv I just did the research and just went for it ..as it went it made more and more sense and seemed easier and easier. Hardest part is drilling and cutting out the old crossmember

Yes, great work, the CV works good for the newer wider front track cars, not so well for older narrower front ends. :)

(but I love my MII kits)

Seeing those pictures is a great motivator and inspiration to get off my fat ass and cut, grind, weld, beat, and heat some car frame parts (and my body parts)
and I’m going to as soon as the electricians are finished put in some addition T5 lights for these old feeble eyes! Thanks.

get er dun thanks alot! you have a build thread somewheres?
That's looking really good.

Sheldon

thanks bro!

Continued...1 Yr Later ...

Hey all!
Here's a little update on the build. From the time I posted my last post till now , we sold our house in the city ,
and bought acreage in Clearwater (wells gray park) to get out of the rat race, be self sufficient garden and have farm animals so here we are now!
After a crazy move in the winter Feb 2017 and a year of reno's an almost being evacuated for forest fires
we're settling right in so Im back at it slowly but surely. I used to complain about working in my driveway on pavement
but that was luxury compared to farm life lol I will need to build my dream shop soon.
My next plan of attack is the rear sump oil pan then motor mounts , and then work on the power steering pump lines and brake booster etc.
Here's some pics of the move and motor ..I had to temp bolt the body back on for the move. enjoy!

Good to see you are getting back to this project. I too am using a Crown Vic suspension on mine, so I'll be following.

Congrats on the move! I had to relocate mine in the summer as well. Good thing those U-haul car haulers are solid, lol.

I may have missed it earlier, but where did you find the axle perch kit?
