Sunday July 25 - Deuce Day Awards
At approximately 3:30 p.m., with the formalities
at hand, a crowd gathered on the legislature steps and
lawn for the presentation of awards. The winning car
owners had previously been asked to bring their cars
up. The winners were:
Distance award: Larry Paridis from Prescott, Arizona
in his 1932 Ford 3- window
Spectators Choice: Dave Goddard from Victoria, B.C.
in his 1934 Ford 3-window
Participants Choice (non-Deuce): Tim Young from Langley,
B.C. in his 1936 Ford
Participant's Choice (Deuce): Gloria Reems from Port
Orchard, WA in her '32 Ford 5-window

With the formal part of the day over, we accepted
Bob Painton's offer to retire "dockside"
for some R&R. It was a great way to end a superb
day. A group of well-wisher gathered to congratulate
Al Clark on a superlative event. |
