February 17 Announcement by the SVABC (Specialty Vehicle Association of British Columbia):
“It is with great pleasure; the SVABC announces the BC Government Proclamation that recognizes the Collector Car Community by proclaiming and declare that:
July 12, 2014 and the month of July 2014 shall be known as “Collector Car Appreciation Day and Month”.
The SVABC in partnership with the BC Government did this to recognize the efforts of the thousands of Individuals, multitude of Clubs, involved in the Collector – Vintage Car hobby and what they have contributed to the various organizations, hospitals, school programs and other like programs, that support events in the communities across this great province.
We will be working with the Clubs and various individuals to set up events in July to commemorate this occasion. Please contact us at via e mail at membership.sva.bc.ca if you wish to be involved.
