Larry Zilinsky
1932 Ford 5-Window Coupe
Victoria, B.C.

Larry Zilinsky of Victoria, B.C. (aka Deuce Guy, Z-man, also of Topster fame) is building himself a 5-window which, as Larry says "is kind of a re-do of my first car which I had in '61-'63" He sold it for $250 when he joined the Navy in '63. "Yeah, it was a running, on the road hot rod with a done flathead etc!" says Larry

This one has a New-Age Motorsports (Flatlanders) 5-window coupe body and will sport Wescott fenders. He started with a set of the new Dearborne deuce rails and built a chassis from there (all cross members and fabrication was done by his good friend Jim McGowan) using all Pete and Jakes parts bought from Rjay's Performance Center in Cuba Missouri. The engine is a fresh 383 SBC with a 700R4 and 8" rear end. It's all traditional with hairpins, I-beam axle, ladder bars, and buggy spring in the rear. It'll running red solids and wide whites and will be left in "suede black" for now.

Larry says that the car will be as traditional as he can get it (like his roadster) and he had said that he had been thinking about painting it Dove Grey or Washington Blue.

It will have red solids with rings and caps and wide whites. All running gear will be red or chrome / SS. The interior will be white and black R&P vinyl. The dash will be a '40, the column and wheel out of a 37 Ford and a swan neck style floor shift. The seat is a Glide. The body has all the bumps and holes, with all handles, cowl vent, flip open windshield, roll down back window, and 50 Pontiac taillights. It will have a dropped headlight bar with guide headlights, red grill insert, and stock rubber running boards (see pics below).

Larry also sent along a few pics of the original 5-window. We look forward to more about his project.
