Hey Lads!! I just got home from the big road trip to pick up the
Thames.....it's pretty damn rough.....I'm not sure what direction I'm going to
go with it, but being as I hadn't planned on touching it for a
couple years, I have plenty of time to decide.
On the up side, most of the front sheet metal is decent....but the grille & shell is one peice (ie: the bars are not a seperate peice that attaches from the back), and the shell and bars have taken a hit at some point....but
both fenders are decent, as are the hood and the panels that go
below the hood. It's a bonus that there are actually two fenders,as
the pics I had seen prior to the trip only showed one
PLUS, the body was sitting on a rolling chassis, and again from
the pics I thought that the chassis was bare. the fact that I was
unable to tell might tell you how high the Rasberry bushes were that
were growing around it!
I just did the math, and I figure I have travelled about 1290 miles or 2076km since Friday AM, and haven't had more than three or four hours of sleep on any night
....so I'm a bit knackerd.
It was good meeting you guys, and putting faces to the names, just sorry we didn't have more time to stick around & visit. We went out, got the Thames loaded, and were back in Tom's Lake at Stacy's before dark. Stacy didn't want to be still driving back through the Pine Pass in the dark)
