Since then, Larry has completed
the car and it looks, well, it looks just right!. Read
on and I'm sure you'll agree. A couple of additional
comments from Larry about the details and then on to
some pics:
"It was painted by a local
painter named Ed Watson and believe me he did a FANTASTIC
job on it - as far as I'm concerned Ed is second to
nobody around here! He did a great job of prepping and
painting the frame and the body parts and they couldn't
be smoother!
The exhaust shop was Island Muffler
The interior will be done by another local guy, Fred
McMillan, and judging by what Fred has done in the past
for both me and other hot rodders I know it will be
a great job."
To recap some details: "The
engine is a 383 SBC with 700R4 trans and 8" rearend.
The column is an Ididit with one of those slick 14"
'40 wheels by LeCarra. I insulated the inside of the
body with 'B-Quiet' from a company in Saskatchewan.
It's pretty much the same stuff as Dynamat but not as
pricey! The body is by New Age Motorsports in Connecticut,
which bought out the body division of Flatlanders. The
fenders are Wescott. Wiring is Ron Francis "Bare
Bonz". The interior needs to be finished but that'll
be next fall or so - who needs an interior anyway!"
So, let's check out some pics.
