Canadian Rodder Spoltlight - Bougie's Mid-Engined Roadster
by Frank Colgoni

As you know, as aficionados of hot rods and customs, we are routinely exposed to the same troupe of famous and nearly famous builders, designers and craftsmen (the stars and all-stars) through magazines mostly and, more recently, on television. In this coverage, we see everything from routine builds to the construction of one-off pieces that are astronomically expensive. Naturally, because of the size of the market, this stream of coverage flows from the south (of the 49th parallel).

This is OK to a point but we inherently know that there are a lot of other talented people that toil away in relative obscurity in backyards, garages and shops - both hobbyists and professionals alike. This, unfortunately, is unlikely to change.

So, in the interest of spotlighting something different, from someone "local", we're going to share some information about a project that's taking shape in British Columbia. Chilliwack, British Columbia to be exact. This is anything but a routine build and is definitely one-off.

The man behind the project is Ron Bougie (as in boogie), the talented proprietor of Bougie's Hot Rod Shop. We look forward to more on the Bougie's Mid-Engined Roadster.
