Ford Roadster Pickup
Owned by Ralph Bodine of Sidney B.C.
|
Back
in January, in our "Under Construction Zone", we featured
some pictures of the chassis of this '30 roadster pickup. In those
shots, you could see the "Orange Blossom" name plate
neatly suspended by the tailpipes. In March, we added a shot of
the car in final assembly.
Al
Clark, of Deuces Northwest, was good enough to send along these
finished shots of the car. It's a beautiful car with classis looks.
Some details of the car are at right.
The chassis photos are still in the Under Construction Zone. So,
if you haven't already, check them out also.

about
it:
The cab and box are
from Brookville - all steel and painted Corvette millennium yellow.
Paint is by Ken Casilio.
Driveline
is all Ford - 302 cu. in, AOD, with an 8" out back. Engine
was built by Gus McTavish.
Upholstery is all leather by Tommy's Auto Upholstery, who also
did the top.
Chassis and complete assembly was done by Deuces Northwest Streetrods.
A TCI IFS was used with
disc brakes all 'round along with a Tilton balance bar and dual
master cylinders.
Although you can't see it, the wood in the box is an African hardwood
called pedauk.
