Congratulations and Thanks
To plan and hold an event of this magnitude requires a ton of planning, 2 tons of dedication, 3 tons of perseverance and 4 tons of blood, sweat and tears ("what goes up, must come down..." - name that tune).

The organizers of this year's Canadian Street Rod and Custom Car Nationals (formerly Canats) had all of the above and then some. There was never any doubt about how to get in, get out, where to register, etc. You get the idea. Further, there was always an abundance of staff on hand in the event you needed assistance.

Location, Location, Location (and weather)
Confederation Park proved to be an ideal location for the event with lots of space, gorgeous views of Lake Ontario and refreshing breezes. Refreshing breezes were needed as the temperatures were more than favourable and the sun was out in full force. Perfect weather was the order of the day.

Who went to the Nationals?
Certainly a lot of Canadians went and a considerable showing from south of the border, down U.S.A way. We spotted many cars, not only from neighbouring states, but from somewhat distant locations. We spoke to a number of groups who were doing the summer event circuit. That is, packed to the brim or towing trailers, they were leaving the Nationals for yet another event down south.

Diversity
As for the cars, there was a nice mix of the old, the new, the traditional and the eclectic. Check out the slideshow for a small sample of what was there.

2002
CSRA has announced that the Nationals will be back in Trenton next year. See you there and, once again, congratulations to this year's organizers. Nice job.
