The Motor

Here's the tranny mount and spacers being fitted up. "They will be welded in place after the steering wheel is
in place just in case the motor/transmission needs to be moved up or down or to and fro" says Bob.

Here's one of those mounts in action.

Its an LT-1 Corvette of course (1996 vintage). Bob advises that the changes will be only slight. That is, headers, valve covers and he will attempt to polish the aluminum parts.
"The transmission is a 4L60E (electronic) which you can not alter yourself. Only the factory can. With a little help John Mcguire at JB Streetrods we will reprogram the chip and make it work."

Bob will be using a 1994 computer "because it is OBD I - first generation. In 1996 they used OBD II - second generation."

This is begnning to look like a hot rod motor - uncluttered and to the point.

Lots of cleanup to get to this point. Headers in for a trial fit and lookin' good.
