For any of you that have hung out at Canadian Rodder for the last
couple of years, you'll know that we (I) have a love affair with
the '32 Ford - I admit it ('32 junkie bordering on deviant behaviour).
I can't say definitively why I've had this attraction since my youth.
It may simply be that I'm partial to the lines of the complete range
of '32 Ford models.
Having
said that, when a '32-only event comes along, you take the leap.
I've written before that we combine Hot Rod week with a vist to
my sister-in-law and, once again, the week got off to great start
with NorCal Deuce Day. This year (and I believe until further
notice) the torch was passed by Andy Brizio to the Jokers Car
Club.
You
gotta luv the site of a couple of hundred Deuces nestled on the
shore of Stafford Lake in Novato California. Very cool. I'm beginning
to feel right at home there. We also get to hang out with our
NorCal friends, and Deuce owners, George and Charlie and Joker
Jeff.
Canada
has it's own Deuce Day (of the Northwest variety - see our earlier
coverage) which we're determined to get to in '04 in Victoria.
In
any case, I hope you like the sights from Deuce Day. We wish we
could bring you the sounds also. Maybe this year we'll bring video
and capture even more ambience.
Thanks
to the Jokers. Nice job. See you in August.
